Women make up only 17% of the wine industry, so it is important to highlight their success for many reasons. Female winemakers play an essential role in the winemaking process and beyond. Still, the industry has not seen a significant increase in the percentage of women in wine over the past ten years. New Jersey is on a mission to change just that.

This Women’s History Month we want to celebrate the Women in Wine Caucus of the Garden State Wine Growers Association, which was created to provide women in the wine industry with a platform to be seen, heard and grow! This group also provides a space for women to network with others and learn about the different opportunities in the wine industry. They provide education and training to women that may not typically be offered, with the goal of increasing the percentage of women working in the wine industry, making it more accessible to everyone.

Cheers to all the women working in the wine – past, present and future!🍷 You deserve to be celebrated, not only this month but all year long!
