🎉NEW AT THE ZOO!
We’re thrilled to introduce Peanut, the newest member of our Ambassador Animal Team! Peanut is a Patagonian Mara, a species native to Central and Southern Argentina in South America. Patagonian Maras, also known as Cavies, are the second largest members of the Caviidae family.
Peanut resides in the Education Center, so you won’t see her in the Zoo but rather during our various outreach programs. We are excited to have Peanut join our Education Team and look forward to the joy and learning she will bring!
