SCHUNKELN LIKE NOBODY’S WATCHING
Festbier is Festbier. Märzen is Märzen. This is an example of the former as traditional as Oktoberfest’s official Schunkeln dance that it’s named after. Brewed with German Pilsner, Munich, and Melanoidin malts. Hopped in the kettle with German Hallertau Mittelfruh and lagered in stainless for many moons. A style not as often encountered, it’s actually the predominant beer of choice at the celebration for its lighter and less filling body, as well as its minimized roastiness and toastiness characteristics which are often found in its amber-hued counterpart.
