Biologists at Lower Great Lakes Fish & Wildlife Conservation Office are leveling up their identification skills to spot even the tiniest of invaders!

A larval fish identification training, hosted by Eastern Illinois University, in Charleston, Illinois, helps our staff and other partner agencies to spot these tiny creatures like a pro. Larval fish and eggs are distinguished by distinct markings, unique features, and further tools such as genetics.
