Black Bear Sow with Her Cubs at Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge | Things to Do in Cape May NJ

Black bears are resourceful omnivores that eat meat, berries, insects, nuts, seeds, plant roots, and pretty much whatever other food they find.

It’s important to never feed bears or leave out attractants. Bears can become habituated to people, or find easy sources of food around people, which becomes dangerous for everyone. You can help bears by keeping your distance and removing any sources of food that would attract them. This mama bear and cubs are foraging peacefully at Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge in Maine.
