Cape May Maritime Museum’s U.S. Coast Guard TRS Motor Lifeboat CG-36538 has landed at Naval Air Station Wildwood (NASW) Aviation Museum. NASW will be the off-season home to the lifeboat when it is not operating as a floating museum.
CG-36538 was built in 1952, and served at the Coast Guard Station in Ocean City, NJ, until 1972. After seven years of restoration, the boat has entered its next phase: an educational exhibit.
