Celebrate PRIDE Month at Cape May Stage with a special in-person reading of “Tru” by Jay Presson Allen! Join us on Monday, June 24, at 7 pm at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse.
Directed by Roy Steinberg, this captivating play, adapted from the words and works of Truman Capote, takes us into the writer’s New York City apartment during the week before Christmas 1975. An excerpt from Capote’s infamous novel “Answered Prayers” has just been published, causing a rift between him and his friends who feel betrayed by his thinly veiled depictions of them.
The reading will be performed by the talented Hans Friedrichs, a New York-based stage director and teacher known for his award-winning productions.
No Tickets Required – Free to Attend – Donations Accepted
