Exciting news from Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge in Maine. Last week, juvenile alewives were spotted schooling near the outlet of the Vose Pond. These young fish will be heading downstream towards the St. Croix River and on to the Atlantic Ocean. Alewives are anadromous fish, meaning they migrate out to the ocean where they will stay until reaching maturity and return to the rivers to spawn. Video by Keith Ramos/FWS
