Wetlands are essential for life, but more than 35 percent of the world’s wetlands have either disappeared or degraded, and the loss is accelerating. Since 1969, The Wetlands Institute has been a force for research and conservation of wetlands habitats and species, and education about their critical importance – and we’ve done so with your help, through donations, memberships, and symbolic adoptions.
