Good Afternoon whale watchers. We get some requests and inquiries this time of year for why we are not whale watching in the winter. There are various reasons. But this video should sum it up.

A large part of why we do not run the trips this time of years is a lack of folks willing to brave the elements. What elements would they be? Well wind for one. Regular North East, Westerly and Southerly’s that blow 30-60 mph. As we are filming here, temps are below freezing and wind chills in the teens. Freezing spray, large waves, etc all add up to winter conditions.

That’s why we take the winter to maintain the boats with haul outs, engine maintenance, interior renewal, sanding and painting.

Stay tuned for more video from the Cape.
