Good morning! I’m Meep, and I’m here with my friend, J-Lo. We are both white-tailed deer, so you may be wondering, why do we look so different? J-Lo has typical deer pigmentation, but I’m all white! That’s because I have a genetic condition called leucism. That’s a genetic mutation that causes a partial lack of pigmentation in my skin and hair. Unlike albinism, the pigment in my eyes isn’t affected, so they aren’t red like an albino’s eyes!
