Guess WHO is NEW at the ZOO!?! 🦉

Meet our newest zoo resident, Shadow Hunter, a great horned owl! Shadow is an 8-year-old male who can’t be released into the wild and was in need of a permanent home. He arrived at the Zoo earlier this week and will be on exhibit next to the barred owl. Make sure to stop by and welcome him!

Great horned owls are New Jersey’s largest owl species. These nocturnal birds are known for the feathered tufts on their heads that look like horns!
