Happy 12th Birthday, Ziggy! 🥳
Ziggy is the stallion of our Grant’s zebra herd! These groups usually comprise of one stallion, several mares, and their offspring. At the Zoo, our herd consists of Ziggy, three mares (Gretta, Gracie, and Lydia), and their offspring. Ziggy has sired four girls: Zuri, Stormy, Stardust, and Gaia. Zuri was transferred to another zoo for breeding, while the rest of the girls still reside at the zoo. Ziggy is a great dad and doesn’t mind hanging out with his kids. He takes his job as the herd’s protector very seriously!
