Happy 13th Birthday, Beenie! 🥳
Beenie is a cheetah, the fastest land animal! A lean body, as well as a large heart and lungs, helps them reach a top speed of 70 mph! They also have long tails and semi-retractable claws that help them make quick turns while pursuing their prey. Male cheetahs have an average lifespan of only about 8 years in the wild, which means Beenie is quite the elderly gentleman. He prefers afternoon naps in the shade and would prefer not to have to run if it can be avoided! 😅
