Happy 2nd Birthday, Butternut! 🥳
Butternut is the second youngest member of our bison herd. She’s almost exactly a year older than her younger brother, who celebrated his birthday yesterday! American bison are often referred to as buffalo, but they are in different genera within the bovine family. Buffalo are native to Africa and Asia, while bison are found in North America and Europe!
