Happy 2nd Birthday, Marigold and Buttercup! 🥳
These capybara sisters were born at the zoo. Capybaras are the world’s largest rodents and typically weigh over 100 lbs as adults! Although they look similar, Marigold is larger than her sister and was born with only two toes on her back right foot, while other capybaras have three toes! Marigold loves guest encounters and knows how to get the most snacks. Buttercup is the smallest of the family, but she makes up for it with a big personality! She knows how to persuade her keepers to give her whatever snacks she wants! 🌽🥬🥕
