Happy 3rd Birthday, Capychino!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Capychino! 🥳

This dapper gentleman is a member of our capybara herd. Capybaras are the world’s largest rodents and they are native to South America. Capychino is the largest and most dominant capybara at the zoo. How can you spot him in the yard? Look down! He is usually the one in the pond swimming and investigating what the capybaras on the other side of the bridge are doing. After a few laps, he likes to take a nap in the dirt alongside his sister, Marigold. Fun fact: Since he is the largest capybara in the yard, when designing the door to their building he was measured for reference. The door is approximately one Capychino in height and one and a half Capychinos in width!
