Happy 4th Birthday, Proodence and Gertroode! 🥳
These half sisters are red kangaroos and were born at Nashville Zoo. Red kangaroos are the largest marsupial and endemic to Australia. Males have a red coat, while females tend to be more gray in color. Proodence (L) is the queen of greens! She loves interacting with her keepers. Gertroode (R) is carefully guarded but lets down her walls for snacks! You can see both in the kangaroo yard on your next zoo visit!
