Happy 4th Birthday, Roothie! 🥳
Roothie is a red kangaroo, a species of marsupial endemic to Australia. Red kangaroos live in groups, called mobs, consisting of both males and females. Roothie was born at Nashville Zoo and came to Cape May in 2021. She is described by her keepers as charismatic and spunky. She loves interacting with them, especially when they provide her with fresh browse and snacks! She is notorious for lounging on her back and stretching out. Roothie’s favorite season is fall because she loves pumpkin-flavored everything!
