Happy 7th Birthday, Sandy! 🥳
Sandy is a member of our American bison herd. Bison are the largest terrestrial mammal in North America, and they can run up to 35 mph (that’s faster than you, in case you thought you’d be able to outrun one). They are also good jumpers and swimmers! Sandy got her name because she was born in a sandy spot in the bison yard. Out of all the members of the herd, she is the fiestiest and most likely NOT to let you outrun her! 😬😅
