Happy 7th Hatchday, Quasimodo! 🥳
Quasimodo is a Eurasian eagle-owl, one of the largest species of owl in the world. They have a 5-6 foot wingspan and are mainly active at night. Quasimodo and his mate, Esmeralda, came to the zoo in 2021 from Miller Park Zoo in Illinois. The best time to visit them is near the end of the day when they are getting ready for their nighttime activities. They are often very chatty and you may catch their characteristic “WHO?”
