Happy International Cat Day!

Aug 8, 2024 | Cape May County Zoo

Happy International Cat Day! 🎉

Large or small, wild or domestic, cats are a fan favorite! Members of this family, called felids, all sport retractable claws, muscular bodies, and sensitive whiskers. They are obligate carnivores, which means meat is on the menu! Many felids are threatened with extinction due to factors like habitat loss. Stop by the zoo to see a few cat species: lions, cheetah, snow leopards, and amur leopard, or check them out in our stories!
