Happy Kangaroo Day! ๐ฆ๐
There are four species of kangaroo, all native to Australia and New Guinea. They are marsupials, which are mammals whose females have pouches to carry their young. Kangaroos, along with wallabies, quokkas, and others, are called macropods, which means “large foot.”
Stop by the zoo to check out Regis and our mob of red kangaroos, the largest species of kangaroo! We are open daily 10am – 4:30pm. Winter hours (10am – 3:30pm) begin November 3rd. We are open every day except Christmas.
