Happy Llama Day! 🦙🎉
Hi, Hermey the elf here! I had to visit Trixie the llama to celebrate Llama Day! Trixie lives in a yard with alpacas. You can tell the difference by their size (llamas are larger) and their ears (llamas’ are banana-shaped, while alpacas’ are shaped like spears). Both species are domesticated and descended from their wild cousins in South America. Trixie has been at the zoo since 2013. She’s a bit of a diva and if she doesn’t like you, watch out – she spits! 😄💦
