Happy Noodle Day! π
Oh, wait, this wasn’t what you had in mind? π Sometimes referred to as “danger noodles,” snakes have had a bad rap for centuries. However, they have an important role to play in Earth’s warmer ecosystems. Their biggest contribution? Rodent control! As predators, snakes keep rodent populations down, which helps prevent the spread of diseases. This includes species like the ball python, which is native to Africa. Spalding, pictured here, works at the zoo as an ambassador for his species! π
