It’s that time of year! The male peafowl, called peacocks, have grown in their beautiful feathers and are displaying for the females, called peahens. This elaborate display involves raising the long feathers, shaking their wings, and rattling their tails. Females evaluate a male’s fitness based on this display, and she determines if he is worthy of her time!
