Happy Save the Eagles Day! 🎉
Our staff works with NJDEP Fish & Wildlife to help monitor bald eagle nests in Cape May County as part of the NJ Bald Eagle Project. Last nesting season, 267 nests were monitored all over NJ and these nests produced 335 young! We are excited to be a part of this project this season to help ensure a bright future for this species!
Foles is the resident bald eagle at the zoo. He was injured and declared non-releasable in 2016, and then came to the zoo in October of 2017. You can see him year-round in his habitat near the Barn Yard. We’re open daily, 10am – 3:30pm.
