Happy Zookeeper Week: Meet our Primate Team! 🐒

Our team cares for the siamangs, De Brazza’s monkeys, howler monkeys, tamarins, marmosets, titi monkeys, and ring-tailed lemurs. Primate keepers spend a lot more time hosing than raking, and we spend lots of time working shift doors and checking locks! Primates are very intelligent, so we also spend a lot of time training them and giving them multiple enrichments every day. Since primates live in troops, there is usually some kind of drama going on in one group or another! It can be very stressful managing them, but it’s a great job for a keeper who enjoys a challenge!

Find out more about what it’s like to be a primate keeper in our stories!
Our Team: Jen, Joseph, Jenna, Lauren, Kari, Kim, and Bryan
