Humpback Whale on a SEAS trip

Jun 4, 2024 | Cape May

Excitement on this morning’s SEAS trip with The Starlight Fleet – we spotted a Humpback Whale! It’s been many years since we’ve encountered one of these incredible creatures during a SEAS outing, and everyone was thrilled! Connecting young people to nature is at the heart of what we do, and our Science Education at Sea (SEAS) program is the perfect way to do it. Students from 4th to 12th grade spend three hours out on a boat and get a hands-on experience with some of the amazing wildlife right off our shores – and many form lifelong connections to nature as a result. It’s experiential education at its best!

We’re currently booking for the 2024-2025 school year, so head on over to our website and learn all about these exciting programs! https://wetlandsinstitute.org/education/seas-program/
