It might be winter, but the bluebirds of happiness have been seen around the parking lot at Cape May Point State Park and on the Raptor Trail! Mild winter weather (until recently) has resulted in great birding especially for yellow-rump warblers, cedar waxwings, cooper’s hawks, and red shouldered hawks. The berries of bayberry, red cedar and poison ivy all act as bird feeders for wintering birds. Photo by Tom Considine.
