It’s that time of year again, the crepe myrtles are in bloom

It’s that time of year again, the crepe myrtles are in bloom. Cape May loves crepe Myrtle’s. My father planted several on our property. They are beautiful, but they provide very little for wildlife, particularly birds. If you are landscaping your property, please consider offsetting your crepe myrtles with some native trees that would provide food for wildlife such as oaks, pines, red cedar, holly, and black cherry. It’s up to us to invite wildlife into our neighborhoods. Animals are losing out at an alarming rate.
