Late Night? 🥱
Although lions are considered the most social cat species, they can spend up to 20 hours a day sleeping or resting! All that rest helps lions preserve their energy for when they need it, like when hunting. Lexington advises that you rest up so that you can seize the day!
The Zoo is open today with regular hours, 10am – 3:30pm. We are accepting Christmas trees for a few more days! Drop-off is in the first parking lot on the right when you enter the Park! For the safety of the animals, please do not donate trees with tinsel or sprays, and make sure the tree is free of ornaments and hooks.
