LIVE at “Hands-on History” Weekend!
– Children get a Village “Pastport” which can be stamped after completing a task or activity, and when complete can be presented in the Country Store for a prize!
– Mary Roth live in the Welcome Center
– John & Jan Haiges live
– Wool dying and beehive oven cooking demonstrations by Erin Peeks
– Electrifying demos by Benjamin Franklin
– 1pm in the Visitor Welcome Center you can join local historian and Historic Cold Spring Village interpreter Margaret Strolle (BA, College of William and Mary; MA, Villanova University) to learn about the wide role fashion and dress played in Early America from getting the clothes on backs to how they reflected domestic and international politics.
