Love the beach and want to discover its mysteries? Then Beachside Science at Surfside Park is for you! Presented by The Wetlands Institute and co-sponsored by the Avalon Environmental Commission and Avalon Free Public Library this free program explores “Secrets of the Beach: Creatures Who Share Our Barrier Island.”
This new program takes place at Avalon’s Surfside Park, 30th Street and the beach in Avalon on the third Wednesdays of the month from May – September, 2021, at 6:00pm. The first program in this new series — “What is a Barrier Island and Why Are Living Fossils Here?” — runs on Wednesday, May 19, and is all about Horseshoe Crabs!
