Mark you calendar for the The Wheelmen’s annual National Meet being held in Cape May this year!

The Wheelmen, a national, non-profit organization dedicated to keeping alive the heritage of American cycling, promoting the restoration and riding of early cycles manufactured in and before 1932, and encouraging cycling as part of modern living, will be holing their annual National Meet in #CapeMay, and on Wednesday, June 12 from 10:30am to 12:30pm, part of the festivities will occur around the Washington Street Mall! Approximately 100 cyclists and family members will be riding and displaying bicycles dating from approximately 1860 to pre-1932, particularly Penny Farthings from the first golden age of cycling. The event is being partly sponsored by Visit Cape May MAC and riders will be here from across the US and include members from Europe as well.

Riders will ride in uniform to the Washington Street Mall area where they will display the bikes and do demonstration rides around the Mall on Lyle Lane at Rotary Park. The bikes will be on display for the public with their owners available to explain about their history.
