Meet Leah Schwartz, Our Sherlock Holmes!
Get to know Leah Schwartz, the talented actress bringing Sherlock Holmes to life in Cape May Stage’s production of Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson – Apt. 2B by Kate Hamill.
Leah is making her Cape May Stage debut with this role, and she couldn’t be more excited. With a BFA in Acting from Marymount Manhattan College, Leah has already made a name for herself in the New York theater scene with standout performances as Romeo in Romeo & Juliet, Fluellen/Westmoreland in Henry V, and Claire in Proof.
In this production, Leah takes on the iconic role of Sherlock Holmes, infusing the character with her unique blend of wit, intelligence, and charisma. Her portrayal of Holmes is both modern and refreshing, capturing the detective’s sharp mind while adding a new layer of humor and humanity.
Leah is deeply grateful for the opportunity to play such a dynamic character and is thankful to director Roy Steinberg for his confidence in her. She also sends her love to her family and friends, whose support has been invaluable throughout her journey.
