Meet May’s Trail of the Month: Ohio’s Wolf Creek Trail!
Totaling just over 16 miles, the Wolf Creek Trail runs northwest from the Dayton’s downtown to nearly the Indiana border. Named for the numerous wolves spotted around the creek many years ago, Wolf Creek is still home to foraging herons, industrious beavers and beautiful stretches of nature. This community connector is also part of a larger whole—like the 340-mile trail network in the Miami River Valley, Adventure Cycling’s Chicago to New York City Bicycle Route and, of course, the cross-country @GreatAmericanRailTrail. And a focus on both large and small is helping to chart its course for the future.
