August is a great month for coastal birding and is the peak month for shorebird diversity when over 20 species are possible at coastal reserves like Forsythe and Bombay Hook NWRs. It’s also when large numbers of herons, egrets, ibis and terns congregate post-breeding at these sites. Join Scott Barnes
