Princess Leia wants to show off her new haute couture hairstyle! At 17 years old, she is our oldest alpaca and one of just three alpacas not born on our farm (Tanzy and Lightning are the others). Leia had a serious bone infection last fall, but fortunately our vet was able to properly diagnose and treat it with antibiotics. The exam and x-rays were a challenge for Leia, as she is the most skittish and easily frightened alpaca in the herd. But she was a trooper, and now she is back to herself again! Leia is shy and sometimes hangs back from visitors, but there are plenty of other alpacas who are eager to meet you!
