Public presentation – marsh enhancement

Aug 22, 2024 | Cape May

Join us tonight at 5:30 at The Wetlands Institute for a special presentation (free and open to the public) to learn all about a new marsh enhancement project happening this fall on the marshes of Scotch Bonnet Island, adjacent to the Institute and part of the Cape May Coastal Wetlands Wildlife Management Area.

Since 2019, the partners of the Seven Mile Island Innovation Lab (SMIIL) – the Philadelphia District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, and The Wetlands Institute – have been designing and deploying groundbreaking solutions to counter marsh loss and increase resilience in the face of rising seas. This fall, SMIIL is bringing its work closer to home. Hear about it all tonight at 5:30 PM at The Wetlands Institute, 1075 Stone Harbor Blvd., Stone Harbor, NJ.
