Pufflings are beginning to hatch on Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge in Maine!
With biologists monitoring more than forty active burrows this season, Petit Manan Island will soon be exploding with puffin cuteness. DYK Atlantic puffins are built to be on the water? In fact, they spend every day from September to April out on the open ocean in the North Atlantic until they emerge on the rocky islands and cliffs to nest and raise their precious puffs. 📸Amanda McFarland/USFWS
