Purple loosestrife has long been the poster child for invasive species of plants. Unfortunately, it is readily available at most nurseries and I have found it in many gardens when walking around Cape May. We are trying to eradicate it from Cape May Point State Park, but it is difficult as it’s often hidden in the giant reeds or growing in inaccessible places.
