RARE BIRD ALERT! Purple Gallinule. Normally a wetland bird from Florida and the South, occasionally seen at Cape May Point. Photo taken at Lake Lily, by our volunteer, Jimmy. Thanks for sharing!

Gallinules have long toes that enable them to walk on the lily pads while they hunt for insects.
