Regis' tree

Dec 27, 2023 | Cape May County Zoo

Who loves the smell of Christmas trees? 🎄🙋‍♀️

Regis, the red kangaroo, sure does! We use Christmas trees at the zoo as part of our Enrichment Program. They are used as scent enrichment, as toys, to make forts, and as wind blocks over the cold winter months! 🥶

We received tree donations from Garden Greenhouse, Lowes Rio Grande, and Home Depot in EHT! We only need a few more, so we are currently accepting Christmas tree donations until January 1st. For the safety of the animals, please do not donate trees that have tinsel or sprays, and make sure the tree is free of ornaments and hooks. Drop-off is during Park hours in the first parking lot on the right when you enter the Park.
