September 11th Ceremony in Downtown Wildwood

The annual September 11, 2001 Remembrance Ceremony will be held at Byrne Plaza, in Downtown Wildwood, on Wednesday, September 11th at 1:00 pm.

The Wildwood Business Improvement District (WBID) hosts this observance each year to honor and remember the 2,977 people who were killed, and thousands who were injured, by the September 11, 2001 attack on the United States of America.

The ceremony also honors the thousands of Ground Zero first responders who have died over the past 23 years due to 9/11 related illnesses.

The ceremony will include 9/11 first responders, representatives from the City of Wildwood Fire and Police Departments, as well as local religious and civic leaders. In addition to the speakers, The City of Wildwood Fire Department will present “Ringing of the Bell” and the City of Wildwood Honor Guard will Present the Colors.

Byrne Plaza is located at 3400 Pacific Avenue in Downtown Wildwood. Free parking is available in the parking lots behind the shops on the east side of Pacific Avenue.
