SNOW LEOPARDS!! 😍
Hi, Hermey the elf here! I was excited to visit Maliha (pictured) and her companion, Bataar, this year. After all, they have “snow” in their name, so they are my kind of critters! Maliha taught me this is a bit of a misnomer, though. Snow leopards live on mountains with a very dry climate, which means they don’t get a lot of snow or other precipitation. In fact, when there is snow, they often avoid touching it if possible. 😂 The temperature range in their wild habitat also fluctuates from around -40 degrees F all the way up to over 100 degrees! Talk about temperature tolerance! 🥶🥵
