Summer passes so quickly!

Aug 15, 2024 | Cape May National Wildlife Refuge

Summer passes so quickly! The orchard orioles visiting Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge in WV are already on their way out and will only be around a few more weeks. During their time at the refuge, they have stealthily built nests in the trees. The nests are long and hang from thin branches like an old sock, and you would think that would make them easy to find, but we often don’t show themselves until autumn when all the leaves have fallen!
