Our season features a diverse array of stories and perspectives, with several productions spotlighting the strength and creativity of female playwrights, directors, and characters.
Kicking off our season is “Becoming Dr. Ruth,” a captivating play that tells the extraordinary story of Karola Siegel, better known as Dr. Ruth Westheimer, a trailblazing sex therapist who shattered barriers and empowered countless individuals.
Next up, we have “Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson – Apt. 2B” by the talented playwright Kate Hamill, offering a fresh and feminist take on the classic detective duo.
As we transition into the fall, we continue to highlight female voices with “Stones In His Pockets” by Marie Jones, a poignant and humorous exploration of identity and community.
And don’t miss “The Gift of the Magi,” a modern adaptation of the beloved O. Henry story, crafted especially for Cape May Stage by playwright Marisa Smith, showcasing the timeless themes of love, sacrifice, and resilience.
Plus, our special performances featuring phenomenal female talents like Melissa Errico, Abigail Rockwell, Nic & Desi, and Quinn Langley as Rita Hayworth. These extraordinary artists bring their own flair and passion to the stage, enriching our theater experience.
