Our New Jersey Audubon Stewardship Team has been working to restore habitat and monitor populations of the Federally Threatened Bog Turtle in New Jersey for over ten years. Here’s a peak into some of our surveying efforts this year with our partners at Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ and New Jersey Fish & Wildlife, as well as some information about this turtle’s habitat needs (we call it a “bog” turtle for a good reason)!
