We are excited to announce the museum had recently acquired a 1954 Dodge M37 which was generously donated by DiLeonardo family. During times of conflict, trucks like the M37 were the unsung heroes of the battlefield, providing vital logistical support to troops on the ground. From transporting troops and supplies to serving as mobile command centers, these rugged vehicles were the backbone of military operations.
The Dodge M37 was a 3⁄4-ton 4×4 truck developed for service in the United States military as a successor to the widely used Dodge-built WC Series introduced during World War II. The Dodge M37, in particular, played a pivotal role in various theaters of war, including the Korean War and Vietnam War. Its robust design and off-road capabilities made it well-suited for navigating challenging terrain, ensuring that troops could reach their destinations safely and swiftly.
NASW is grateful for this generous donation and excited to display it for visitors. This addition will complement the museum’s Bell 47, AH-1 Cobra, and Hueys. We hope you are as excited about this acquisition as we are, please stay tuned for updates on when you can come and see the Dodge M37 up close!
